PREVNet
is a national network of Canadian researchers, non-governmental organizations
(NGOs) and governments committed to stop bullying. The website has useful
information for schools, communities and parents.
Canada’s original bullying website uses
different media – writing, drawing, music film, and poetry – to educate
children about bullying. A finalist for the Stockholm Challenge Awards in 2001,
it has been called one of the best web sites in the world for children. The
organization’s aim is to eliminate bullying in our society by supporting
individuals and organizations to take positive actions against bullying through
the sharing of resources, and to guide and champion them in creating non-violent
solutions.
This research-based site focuses on
positive behaviour intervention supports. The site contains a lot of useful
information for schools on effective interventions for all grade levels. It
details effective programs that deal with bullying including:

The Canadian Safe School Network (CSSN) is a
national, charitable organization dedicated to reducing youth violence and
making our schools and communities safer. CSSN was founded in 1997 and grew out
of the Ontario Safe School Task Force. There are sections for students,
teachers and parents. Please note that not all of the resources are free.
Kids Help Phone maintains a website called “Let’s
Talk About Bullying.” You can enter the site as a child, teen or adult. The

The Bully Dance is an award winning short animated
film which examines the roles of peer pressure, accountability and power
struggles in bullying – a pervasive phenomenon. When a bully picks on a smaller
member of his group, the whole community becomes involved. The bully, they
learn, is himself a victim at home.
Bully Dance is part of ShowPeace, a
series of lively, animated films designed to explore conflict and dispute
resolution.
Peaceful Schools International provides support to schools that have
declared a commitment to creating and maintaining a culture of peace. PSI has

The workshops and training of the Red Cross Beyond the Hurt program are
part of a comprehensive planning model for prevention education. The
Beyond the Hurt program works with youth organizations, middle and high
schools, sports and community groups to assist in building the community's
capacity to respond to bullying and harassment through a comprehensive
prevention planning model.
